Frequently asked questions

What fees can I be charged?
Under the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019, agents can only charge: rent; a refundable security deposit (capped at 5 weeks' rent where annual rent is under £50,000); a holding deposit (capped at 1 week's rent); payments for default (such as a lost key); and certain payments associated with ending a tenancy early. We never charge for referencing, inventory, check-in or admin.
How much is the holding deposit?
One week's rent. It's held while we complete checks and is offset against your first month's rent if you move in. If you withdraw, give false information or fail right-to-rent checks, we may retain it (in line with the Act).
Where is my deposit held?
In a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme. You'll receive the prescribed information within 30 days of paying it.
Who do I complain to?
Start by emailing us. If we haven't resolved your complaint within 8 weeks, you can escalate to our redress scheme — details on our complaints page.
